They shoot a hell of a lot faster/flatter (2875 fps)
great accuracy out to 950 yds. I have shot comps against bolt action 308's and held my own.

If your not pushing them in the 2900 fps realm stick to 175 SMK's... I have done some loads with 155 SMK's @ 2750 fps (give or take) and have decided to stick with 175's out of my OBR. I don't run hot loads under my semi's for fear of over gassing them.

What about shooting them out of a 20" OBR?
Just looking for other options other then M118LR.

I have an 18" version on order and was wondering if I could get them fast enough to be worth the change.

SW Ammo is loading the 155s. Order some up and shoot 'em. I hope to do this myself, but won't likely have time anytime soon.

I have run the numbers many times myself I cannot make any bullet beat the 155 scenar at any velocity. The 155 in Litz's program win at every velocity I run them at. Im not claiming to be ay expert but I'm not sure they can be beat. At least with Brians program. I will say maybe other 155s are slicker in the but in general it looks to me like the 155s win. I did not run any 208s or 230s or 190s for that matter. Thoughts?

I am having excellent results out of a DPMS LR with 155s but it pushes with 24" of barrel.

I can't seem to find any of the scenars locally, but I did pick up 100 155 SMKs. I plan to use these to see what velocities I can get with this weight of bulllet from my 18" OBR. I'll report back.
