Was wondering if anyone had a good load for this combination for a 308. I have a 20" barrel I'll be shooting out of. Lapua 308 brass and federal large rifle primers. Looking to get 1200yrds from this load. Am I looking for a unicorn or not. I have found a starting load of 39.4 and 43.7c for max. Is this accurate as far as grains of powder?

I'm going to go out on a hunch and say you will find the spot right at 39.5
I'm using the same powder same bullet as you only difference is the brass and I am using a 30" tube

    1200 ASL 20" barrel?
I'd go for a higher node that memo43 but tread lightly over 41.5 grains at magazine length.
    Whose chamber and throat?
You can stuff a lot more 4064 in a case with a bullet seated out to the lands in a 700 chamber.
I'm assuming single loading will be ok because if you were confident enough to need rapid follow ups you wouldn't have asked in the first place :p.

Yes. I'm using an r700 action with factory 10twist barrel. COAL really isnt too much of a factor.
