I am looking for a 1903 Springfield rifle just to add to the collection and for nostalgia factor being the WW1 rifle for the US. I want one that I can shoot and not a safe queen. I am aware of the recever metallurgy issue below serial number 800,000. Besides having a reciver, bore, and crown in good condition; what are some other things you guys would advise me to watch out for?
