Here is my Springfield MC Operator. Picked it up used a few months back in MINT condition, didn't even look fired. So far ~350 rounds of various ammo from tula to aquila, even low recoil hollow points. No issues. Very accurate, shoots better than anything I've shot before.

Colt Series 70 reissue. Totally gutted down to the frame and slide then filled with goodness. Finally, Melanized inside and out. 18,500 rounds. Outside of changing the recoil springs every 3K as preventative maintenance, no parts breakage. Third barrel with a Kart in it now.

Just got back into 1911s this past year after being a Glock user for many years. Have owned a Kimber Custom .45 in the past but sold it. Got this used STI Eagle .40 last year. Was blued, which I didn't like, so I sent it off and got it painted up by Michael at Controlled Chaos Arms.


Just this past week got my second STI in. A Trojan .40 with the Dawson CRP package. Hopefully get out to shoot it if I can get some time off work LOL This winter I will send it off to CCA again for a good paint job. Grips were a little slim and smooth so I ordered some VZ Operator II grips which shipped today.

A well used working man's Colt.

I've had this 1991 for 8 years now. EGW customized it lightly for me(grip safety and bead blast blued finish). This used to be my primary carry until I switched to Glocks, still shoots good after 10k rounds. Only failure I've had is the plunger tube came loose, never fell off though. Replaced it with an Ed Brown along with the plunger spring that was tweaked and was back in business. It's a rattle trap but it shoots nice groups at 10 to 20 yards and has a nice trigger 5lb trigger than I did the fitting on. One of these days I'd like to send it off and have some real sights put on and have it coated in either NP3 or a hard chrome.
