Sidearms & Scatterguns 1911 Problem

Today I noticed a problem. I went to decock my 1911, and I couldn't pull the trigger, it feels as if the safety is engaged, or the grip safety isn't engaging. Any idea what the problem could be? At the moment I have it completely disassembled.

Do you have a trigger with the over travel limiting set screw?

I do, is it possible the screw worked its way in to far?

My 1911 did the same thing. I found it to be that set screw. Back it out a few turns, see if that fixes it.

It was the set screw. I guess it creeps. Thanks for the help JM.

Glad I could help. Little bit of green loc-Tite will help keep it in place. Or finger nail polish.

Already did. You know its a scary feeling when you go to drop the trigger on your carry gun and find that it doesn't want to move.

When you set the over travel screw insert a magazine with a DUMMY round in the chamber for a more accurate adjustment.
