1968/69 Rem 700 BDL 243 range report and questions

The subject Remington 700 BDL in 243 was the very first center fire rifle I aquired. I believe it was ~ 1968/69 and I was about 16 years old.

Anyway the attached target was shot yesterday at 200 yards with factory remington 100 gr core-lokt PSP ammo.
As you can see the the first three cold bore rounds were fired very tight - into about 1/2 inch. Subsequent rounds started to string vertically and I think this was due to the bore heating up.

Can anyone provide any additional comments to explain this behavior?

Inconsistent pressure on stock (not floated)
Inconsistent trigger pull
Inconsistent parallax/cheekweld
Loose rings/mount
Low quality/inconsistent ammo

Lots of reasons for speculation from my armchair here.
