Greetings all,
I wanted to ask the Sniper's Hide community to help us reach out and find contestants for the 1st Annual Lost Brigade Project Marksmanship Competition at Peacemaker Range in WV on Oct 22-23, 2011.
The Lost Brigade Project is a newly formed organization devoted to helping disabled and homeless veterans. We formed after some of our founders had been doing coat drives for homeless vets in the DC area for years as a way of taking our commitments to veterans to the next level.
We are hosting this event with sponsorships from NRA, Colt, FNH, and Peacemaker Range, a newly built range that boasts being the largest on the east coast!
We are hoping to give the opportunity to provide veterans wounded I Iraq or Afghanistan the opportunity to compete across a range of different competitive shooting styles. There are prizes, including a nice check and a commemorative Colt 1911 to the winner.
There will be 25 spots open for registration, and we would appreciate the help of this community in reaching out to fellow forum members, friends, and family who would like to participate. The registration page is here.

The Lost Brigade, in cooperation with Peacemaker National Training Center and Colt Firearms, is proud to announce the 1st Annual Wounded Veteran Marksmanship Competition on October 22 & 23. Participation is open to any disabled and combat wounded veterans of the Iraq or Afghanistan campaigns. There are 25 slots available for competitors.
This will be a two day event. The competition will consist of shotgun, handgun, tactical, and long rifle challenges. All weapons and ammunition will be provided at the event. No outside weapons will be allowed in the competition. There will be special provisions for transporting handicapped individuals to each event.
1st Prize for the event is $2,000.00 and a custom .45 ACP pistol courtesy of Colt.
2nd Prize is $1,500.00
3rd Prize is $1,000.00
The match will consist of the following:
DAY 1 (Practice and Familiarization)
DAY 2 (Competition)
Shotgun Trap Trap
Handgun 3 Bianchi Events Handgun
Rifle Tactical Rifle National Defense
