A few months ago I bought a Remington 700 AAC-SD and stripped it down to the barreled action. I added a JP chassis, Timney trigger, Atlas bipod, and topped it with a Nightforce 3.5-15x50.
Work has been crazy so the rifle sat, waiting for a trip to the range. This weekend I was finally able to get some trigger time. The range maxed out at 100 yards but you take what you can get.
I ordered up a bunch of Southwest's 175 SMK's specifically for this one.
Here's a pic of the rifle. Since the photo was taken I've dumped the DPMS grip for a modified Magpul grip.
Other than adjusting the trigger and adding some Krylon, I'm sticking a fork in it. For the first outing I'm extremely pleased with the results. It seems to like the 175 SMK's from Southwest Ammo and shot nice little 5-shot groups time and time again.
Here's a pic of the target, 5-shots at 100 yards shooting off the bipod.
I'm looking forward to getting some time at distance with this one.
