Would a 2 gauge shotgun load packed with 28 .50 cal sized pellets be the most devastating possible shotgun round for home protection?

Would the damage be many times more severe than a 10 gauge?

I saw .50 cal sized buckshot pellets for sale online, so it has me curious

What in the hell was it loaded with? LOL and if you dont mind me asking what were yall shooting at with it sir? I cant imagine a slug out of something like that! May as well just get a good 12 pdr Napoleon, or maybe a Parrot rifle or Dahlgren rifle for some more serious distance work.
