Gunsmithing 2 stage trigger for FN/WIN M70 MOA rifles?

Considering there are very few options for 2 stage triggers presently available for pre-2008 Winchester rifles---and only one of them is decently suited for a tac rifle, I higher doubt you will find one for the late model Winnies.

What's wrong with the stock trigger? Usually I'm all about doing trigger work on all of my firearms, but all it took was a couple of wrenches to make my FN perfect.

Anyone try the x-treme two stage trigger? I love two stage triggers and just found a load for my fn spr that makes it accurate enough to keep and put money into.

Years ago...

I, once upon a time, made quite a few adapters to fit Anschutz 5018 and 5022 triggers to M70's for NRA Highpower. If you want what many regard as the "cats ass" for two stage triggers, the adapters I make do a great job of pairing to the two together.

Nice part is ZERO modication to the receiver and/or trigger chassis. One internal trigger piece does get altered slightly. You grind off the hook on the transfer bar. Fortunately, that part is replaceable. In 2001 dollars it was about 60 bucks to replace it. By contrast the Briley adapters require you to alter the trigger chassis a great deal (as in hack saw...) and the stock inlet gets a whole lot bigger than mine does. They went in a very different direction.

I still have prints floating around. Not sure if it'd be the best option for a field/tactical gun, but alot of the ones I've made are still in service on High power stuff.

This is the last one I ever. It's from around 2002-2003. I built this gun while still with Anschutz. I started making the adapters in 1999 on a 1942 relic J head Bridgeport. :)
