How do you determine what the trigger weight is on a 2 stage trigger? I have a KIDD trigger that was set from the factory at 1.5lbs 12oz for the First Stage and 12oz for the Second Stage.
I want to knock down the trigger pull weight to 1lb. I want 8oz on the First Stage and 8oz on the Second Stage. I bought a Lyman Digital Trigger Gauge. So how are the factories measuring the pull weight for either the first stage or second stage independently?

if there is a good "wall" at the second stage you should be able to feel it with the scale. you can pull to the second stage and note the weight, then pull the second stage and subtract the diff to figure the weight on the second stage. You can also pull to the second stage then zero the gauge and pull the second stage. Will prob be easier to take the rifle out of the stock, turn the hook on the gauge so the screen is facing up and you can read it easy.
