Rifle Scopes 20 moa rail question

Re: 20 moa rail question

It might. Depends on the gun and rings you are already using. I run NF low rings with a 20 moa base, and there is barely any room to put on the bikini cap.

It is usually beneficial to run a 20 moa base, but make sure it will not cause your scope to hit the barrel. Get your base and then go buy your rings if you can.

Good Luck

Re: 20 moa rail question

The formula for how low the front of your scope will drop is:
A = angle, 20moa = 20/60 = .333deg
L = len from rear of base to front of scope
D = drop of scope front
D = L * tan(A)

so if your L=10"
D=10*tan(.333)
D=.058"

Re: 20 moa rail question

i went from a 0 moa to 20 moa from the same brand and my low rings and scope cap still worked together. i was close enough i thought the 20moa would bump me up to medium rings, but the lows were good
