Rifle Scopes 20 MOA Scope Base Question

For a 300 WinMag is a 20 MOA scope base sufficient out to 1000 yards if the elevation travel on the scope is 70 clicks (1/8 moa per click)? At least that is how I'm reading the specs for this scope; 70 = 70 clicks. That can't be right.

Assuming FGMM with 190gr SMK and 2900 fps you are looking at around 29 MOA of drop at 1000 yards. I believe the travel for that scope is 70 MOA total in elevation so a 20 MOA base should be plenty.

That's a great scope for the money but I would get the LRMOA. You'll be fine with that caliber and a 20moa base.
