Finally, got my notification that my 20" upper shipped today. I'm putting together a work mule, for range duty. I'm already running a WO barreled 18" SPR, that is a laser beam.

This one should shoot straight.

More to follow!

Re: 20" WOA Upper Shipped Today

Please keep us posted as to how it shoots. I put together an upper with the WOA DMR but haven't had a chance to shoot it much. I'm still working out a load for it so I am curious how it goes for you. Good luck.

Re: 20" WOA Upper Shipped Today

I have an 18" DMR and I run a Gemtech G7 on it from time to time. I have it chrono'd and have bullet drop data (verified) all the way out to 700m shooting 12" steel at work.

This 20" is the Varmint Upper... with the target crown. I just got 2500 rounds of 77 grain Federal Gold Match in at work, specifically for this rifle.

The lower is a LCW (Lauer Custom Weaponry) lower, with a Geissele SDM trigger, and a Magpul PRS.

The glass is a 2.5-16 Bushnell Elite 6500 with MILDOT reticle and Tactical Turrets. Glass is mounted in a Burris P.E.P.R. mount...

I've been in New Orleans all weekend, should receive the upper my mid week. I will chrono various rounds through it and let you know how she runs...

Cheers!

I can post all of my data on my 18" rifle if you all want to see it. I do not have any data on hand loads, only factory ammo now that I get through work.

Re: 20" WOA Upper Shipped Today

This is the 18" SDM profiled WOA barrel... this rifle is built on a Spikes upper and lower, Ambi-safety selector, Spikes (Young) N/M BCG, Troy Industries Rifle Length Rail, Rifle Length Gas Tube.. It normally wears a 10x42 SWFA SS scope... and is a laser beam. With 69 Grain Winchester Ranger ammo (SMK) I can hit 12" steel diamonds out to 700m all day long.

I rappel with this rifle, run with it, loan it out during our long range classes, and it runs like a top.

The new 20" should be even BETTER!!!!

Re: 20" WOA Upper Shipped Today

Big Brown Truck just delivered my upper from WOA. They installed a Yankee Hill Machine customizable tube for me, since I need a small rail at the bottom front to mount my bipods. I put the P.E.P.R. and the Bushnell 6500 on, and mated it to my DMR lower. I'm still waiting on the buffer tube and MAGPUL PRS to arrive.

Gonna take her to the range over Christmas break, and shoot some 100 yd groups with it. So far, I'm excited!

I put my Burris P.E.P.R. 30mm mount on, with the Bushnell 6500 Elite 2.5-16 power MILDOT... and mated it to my SDR lower.

Re: 20" WOA Upper Shipped Today

Ok... made a few changes.

First of all, the Yankee Hill customizable tube, came with two pieces of rail. One short, one long. I used the short one on the left side, so I can attach my sling mount. The long one went up top, so I can mount the flip up sight... I know, I know... why flip up sights on a scoped rifle? Well, when the Zombies come... and they will... God forbid anything happens with my optic, and I have to remove it for some reason... I can still shoot the rifle with some degree of (iron sight) accuracy.

I'm not wild about the long rail on top. I will order another short rail section, to take it's place.

I slid on some KAC rail covers, just to protect the mile and a half of unused rail, beneath the optic. Oh well...

Here's how she sits presently. I'm headed down to Miami tonight... hopefully gonna do some shooting this week.

Re: 20" WOA Upper Shipped Today

Just ordered the Geissele SD-E to go in the dedicated lower for this rifle. Once I get that, and the PRS installed, I can put THIS lower back on my 18" and be happy. I thought I would be able to shoot some while down in Miami, but it doesn't look that way.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Re: 20" WOA Upper Shipped Today

Ok... I am FINALLY going to get this rifle out and shoot it tomorrow. I will chrono this rifle with two different loads. Once I get my zero in at 100 yds, I will run the data in my computer, and see how accurate it is.

Stay tuned...
