the one on the left was shot buy the guy holding it, its last yrs kill, its been in my shop all yr, and thats the natural color of its horns, it grossed 191 3/4 after shrink, just waiting on a specific taxidermist otherwise it would of been on the wall already.

ha, ha, hell no, east river's for tree stand and window deer. west river, the only way to go, if you got a good guide op. and the $$$.

    Re: 2009 SD Whitetail's

I will be making my way out west river this coming weekend to continue my archery adventures on the western grass lands...way more fun/difficult than fishing from a tree stand.
Oh yeah...got a pair of rifle tags to fill out there too, can't wait. I have seen a couple mule deer in that area that will go 160+. Probably wait till next year to pop one with the AR, but will sure as hell stick one with the 125gr Striker Magnums I'm flingin' w my bow.

Went out to perkins county last weekend and the deer numbers there are shit. saw one mule deer that would have been a shooter the night before but when i got there in the morning some guys where sitting right where he bedded down last night. Never saw him agin. Cant wait for the east river season here in walworth county. Lots of big deer that have lived out on the river flats are now up in the hills since the water has come up.

Nice Deer. What do the other two score? And the deer on the left. Whats up with its left antler? It looks like there is three antlers in one. If that makes sense. Wow once agin nice deer.

the deer on the left had a whole nother main beam that was over 15 inches, i would say the middle deer will go 155+ and the one on the right will go 175+, last yr i got a 180+ a quarter mile from my back yard, we don't shoot any unless they are over 160, unless they are a genetic 4 or a management hunt, which the middle deer was, i had him on game cam last yr and he was a 4 on the same side he was this yr so we took him out.

    Re: 2009 SD Whitetail's

Sunday morning my wife shot a 144" whitetail her biggest and she decided she wanted that one on the wall. i went out that evening and with about 5 minutes left of shooting time 2 deer come out and my freind says the one on the left is big, but had to look and make sure just as he was going down hill and out of sight saw both sides and he was good shot 225 yards and drt. Got up to him and was pumped did not put a tape on him but guess right around the 150 mark. Will put on some pics when i get them downloaded and figure out how to.

    Re: 2009 SD Whitetail's

There was a muley that goes just over 200 shot this weekend at the taxidermest place. And just south of here there was a whitetail shot with a bow that is 199 just waiting for the drying period to be official. My friends wife 2 weeks ago got a 159 with her bow. Last year father in law shot one 172 3/8 and has 1 bigger and one just a little under thats on his wall. So there are a few big ones here. They were our biggest deer by far so i am happy as hell.
