Hey guys, this is my first post here. I've been reading and gathering info from here for a while now. You guys have caused my bank account to drop significantly.
anyway, I did a search for an answer before I posted this but didn't find what I was looking for.
I have a new Remington 5r in 300 wm that I'm in the process of working up a load for using a 200gr. SMK and H1000. The rifle we be used for long distance shooting for fun (1000 yrds. +) and a few F-class matches here and there. I did an OCW test yesterday starting with 76.1gr of powder going up to 77.3 in .3gr increments. The results weren't bad although I'd like to do it again. I wasn't shooting my best yesterday with the new rifle, just not real used to it yet.
My question is, do any of you guys have any pet loads using these components? And if you do, what kind of velocity and accuracy are you getting? (No chronograph yet). Any info or advise is appreciated.
Remington 5r: action bedded into the factory HS precision stock with Marine Tex
Jewel trigger
Nightforce 5.5-22x50 NXS MOAR ret.
Badger 20 min. rail, badger low rings.
