2010 Las Vegas Shot Show Match????

The shot Show will be 1-19-2010 thru 1-22-2010 (Tuesday thru Friday). If I were to put on a Shot Show match it would have to be on a Saturday or Sunday. I don't think anyone would want to get here a couple days early or stay a day later just to shoot a small match. I would need to reserve the range soon if I were to do it. Any thoughts?

The notion of a match on Monday or Tuesday before the show should work. Remember that a bunch of the professional shooters attend the show to work booths of their sponsors and to look for additional sponsors. IMO for it to work, it needs to be on the front end of the show rather than the back since by the end of the show, those of us who work it are not interested in anything other than getting home and resting.

Let me know if you do this as I would be interested.

Good point but Monday and Tuesday might be hard to get the range because vendors like to use it for demos. And they pay more than the money I would get for entry fees. But I'll check it out.

Which range are you looking at. There are a bunch in the area and I can't imagine they're all being used for demos. I'll be sticking around on Sat after for the GSSF match but I doubt I could bring all my Glocks, plus a long gun as well.

Last SHOT show here vendors were scrambling for ranges. They were all being used.
Desert Sportsmans is on of the most used ranges here a few days before and during SHOT. If there is a SHOT show match it will be on the Saturday after SHOT.

I can come Saturday after SHOT by staying another day like staying another day in Vegas is tough.

I would also wonder if those vendors using the ranges would like for you to set up some props for them to use during the show to demo their guns in exchange for them being very good to you sponsor wise. In other words, there may be some opportunity to create a match that shooters could not afford to miss.

I did some checking and the week before SHOT is NOT avaliable. However The Saturday after is very doable. I will submit a formal request for the E boards approval. Should know somthing soon.

Thats a good idea. I have provided targets for vendors the last couple times SHOT was here.

There will NOT be a SHOT match this year. The week before SHOT is being used by vendors and the Saturday after is range work party day and that can't be changed.
I tried.

Ok, I am kind of confused. I went to SHOT SHOWs website and it says that it is not open to the general public. I understand it displays new equipment from varios manufactuers, which leads me to assume only a buisness owner can attend. Am I right?
