My 2011 Season is winding down... Overall it was a good season...

I had a lot of return clients and met some new people that were great to have in camp...

Some real nice head gear there, but I keep thinking, boy thats a lot of weight just in meat to move over a couple months. Hope you got help!

Where do you guide at? My parents have a cabin in the mountains in Ruidoso New Mexico. I really need to get out there and do some Elk and mule deer hunting.

Cows will start on the 1st if I'm back... Contract this year is gonna be short by 100 from the usual...

Nice EHG. Lots of early mornings and short sleep went in to all you have done this season. I have never had to deal with the elevation and terrain like you do and it can still be tedious work. The smiles and appreciation are cool though.

These are not mine but did come from within a few miles of the house and both within the last week. First one in an afternoon foodplot, second one was running does.

I'm still after mine, been a rough year and a slow season for me so far. Still have a few weeks left though. Managed to sling some winter wheat and forage oats Monday afternoon, right before two days of rain we have desperately needed. Should be up just in time for the last week or so of the season.

Had a 120" mature 8pt at 47 yards with the bow last weekend. Too bad I didn't clear that lane behind my tree this year... Rattled him in and he hung up right where I could not get a shot. Did not have a decoy, would have been a done deal if I did. Also would have been my first bow buck after years of passing up good younger ones. Did not get a shot opportunity, will be back on them after Christmas though. Have several full grown decent racked bucks from trail cam pics that are now on the bow list. We'll see how it goes. I'd settle for a 150 + inch gun buck too haha.
