Lucked out this year; this guy ghosted us on many occasions. Finally caught up with him in late January.
No trophy but I have a full freezer
Looks like a good season and great shooting. If it's in range and in season it's in trouble.... Love it. Congrats to everyone. Love this site.
Nothing better than sharing hunting memories with your grandchildren. My 13 year old grandson helped me recover my buck from this past season. It was taken on his parents property.
My 4 year old told a guy at church I missed, shot again and the bullet went around a tree and killed the deer! The guy said it sounded like divine intervention! Grandson said, ”yep, he has a license for that!” they are so much fun! The 12 year old and 4 year old now argue who is going with me vs their father!
Arrowed a few does during Archery season as well to fill the freezer. 2019 was a great time.

Managed to get my first Elk ever in 2019, CO 1st Rifle DIY Public land...first branch antlered bull I'd ever seen, heck I had never even seen an elk in the wild until a few minutes prior. First time I had ever dialed a shot on a wild game animal, hit him 4 times at EHR of 310 yards. Line of sight distance was a good bit further, he was over 100 yards below me. A few weeks ago near the Hiwassee River, TN.
My wife's first cow moose last winter. Not a monster but the meat is amazing and we still won't have to compete with rising beef prices for a while.
Thermal hunted a couple of weeks ago.
Got two nice boars.
First one at 35yds.
Second one. Saw him moving along a pine/palmetto edge. He disappeared into the palmettos.
Bud turned on the caller and in about two minutes he popped out at 25 yards.
Hog # 2 was pretty young yet he was larger than the black one.
He was also missing his left ear and had no ear canal.

Nice! What did you shoot it with? A buddy from work told me about his nilgai hunt and was saying they’re pretty good at absorbing bullets. I’ve never been shooting with him, so I don’t know if his comment was due more to the animal’s toughness, his shooting ability, or shot placement/bullet choice.
Now that looks like fun!
