204 ruger problem

I purchased a savage m-25 walking varmiter in 204ruger at a local shop.
I could not believe how well it shot. I built 4 different loads and all shot under 1 moa with 1/2 moa being close to average at 100 yd. ( made me feel like I could shoot but it was all just the gun!) I took it out of the stock and cleaned the barrel with butches bore shine. I am now struggling to maintain 2moa. I have tried action torque value variances and find little to no remedy.
I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to the problem. One gunsmith suggested I may have pitted the rifling when I cleaned it. Does that sound plausible? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

How does the bore look when it is you hold it up to a light? Look down the length of the bore... If the pits are really bad you'll see them.

You probably have already.... But check all the screws on the action/trigger/scope base and rings.

I know that some barrels need a fair amount of rounds down range to become seasoned again.... How many have you shot since you cleaned it?

Good luck
Ross

Ive probably shot 70-100 rounds since cleaning I’m going to look for Pitts but my eyes aren’t what they once were

I can’t see any Pitts but honestly I’m not sure what it should look like and have trouble seeing well. My scope ocular adjusts out just fine do I can see to shoot but between my readers and looking down the bore I struggle, add in the fact that I’m not sure how it should look ..... well I need a post it note saying see pits here with a big arrow!

Thank you Ross by the way
