208 A max Input

I am shooting a 300 win and am going to try 208gr A max bullets. My question is mainly for seating depth. What seating depth have you guys found to be good in relation to the lands. I was figuring because of the secant ogive of the bullet it may prefer to be lightly touching the lands to self align but I read someone had quite the opposite experience. COAL is not that important for loading a mag to me. Thanks

start with 5 thou off the lands and go from there. I shoot these in a 30 06 and started with 5 thou off and got excellent results and just left the load there.

I load mine about .010" off the lands and it works well.

I have jumped them from .002" all the way out to .195" to fit in my mag with good results.

My best results came at a 0.010" jump in my 30-06

Mine ended up .005 off the lands
