do you really have to ask? i am suprised smiling isn't banned there </div></div>

Yeah, you're right. I don't know what was wrong with me.

Re: 20mm Rifle with can...

I love how they say only weighs 39 pounds, I'm suprised it doesn't come with a stand for a mortar setup. A .223 looks like a comparing a .22 to a .338 Ohhh and you can get a lovely truck mounted system which will flip your car over.

Re: 20mm Rifle with can...

Copy on that, I'm thinking a 20 Mike Mike must be a huge force multiplier onto your wallet in terms of getting stuff to fly out of its barrel - the 20 mm's I've seen has been something completely different, screwed in primers, milled brass and probably just horrifyingly expensive if you don't get hold of a good supply of stolen or laid off military stuff.. ?!

Re: 20mm Rifle with can...

what? my long range weapon system is a 40 mm bofors with a 4,000 grain boat tail super thermo-nuclear micheal bay explosion tip that holds .01 moa at 10 miles.... the 20mm is under powered and ballisticly inferior in every way. i do have a 50bmg but that's just for short range plinking and prairie dog shooting.

Re: 20mm Rifle with can...

Not to mention the ballistics for that 20mm aren't that good. A 14.5mm Soviet is a much better choice ballistically for a round larger than .50BMG. The only real advantage with 20mm rounds is payload capability that seriously dwarfs .50BMG.

Re: 20mm Rifle with can...

Actually, 20mm is fairly inexpensive to load for compared to many other big-bore DDs out there. IIRC, I remember hearing that it can be brought down to just a couple bucks per round using surplus components.

And at 39 pounds, that's actually pretty light...off the top of my head I think one of their prior rifles weighed in at well over 100 pounds unloaded. Shooting the 14.5mm was somewhat anticlimatic...almost no recoil, and extremely low muzzle blast with the can mounted. Only downside at the time was the $20/round cost of surplus APIT ammo, if it can be found...

Yeah I saw that too, but I there is a big difference between having the range to hit something and having the precision to hit it. The shape/size of the 20mm bullet is not something that has a high BC.

There's a huge difference between Max Effective Range and Max Range.
