I'm looking for some starting loads for 4350 or 4831 powders. I have 4064 and VARGET on hand, but I think I need some slower powders. I'm going to go hunt for some slower powders tomorrow.

I have used H4831SC with 75 AMAX's with really good results. I would start out at 36.5 grs. & go up until you find pressure. I have never known of 36.5 being a problem. However you will not run into any problems starting at a lower charge.

I developed a load for a friend, it was 42gr N560 behind a 75gr Berger. With the drought lately, we got some 80gr, cut the charge by .5gr, ran like a charm. So 41.5 gr, N560, good luck finding any though. right at 3400 fps.

Sounds good, I will see what I can come up with! I finally have everything togethor but some ammo.

Well they have #1 of 4831 and a #8 of 4350 so I am going to pickup the #8 of 4350 and a #1 of 4831SC We will see what I can get launched downrange.

Which bullet are you using? I'm getting ready to work up a load for my fast twist 22-250 with the 80gr Nosler Custom Comp's. Keep us updated on your load development.

I have the 80g amax, 80 grain Berger, 55g sierra blitz king, 55g sierra game king also.

I loaded up some amax and Berger with 4350 under it. The guy I got the barrel from was running accurate mr2000 under them. I may make it out to the ranch tomorrow. I gotta load some 155 for the 308, I dumbed up and forgot to order some 185 Berger hybrids.
