It’s kinda awesome to find so much more info than I expected when searching this question, but I’m looking into some common nodes people are finding with the Hornady 88eldms. I have a 1:7 Bartlein tube, I’ve lost enough throat shooting 90gr bergers that I’ve run out of neck to hold that bullet in a jammed configuration. I tried some test loads the other day with some 88eldms at “0.050 off the lands and had pretty great results in accuracy and good chrono numbers. The MV I expected was not quite there, which is not the only important aspect but if more is available I’ll sure as hell go after it. It seemed to approach a good node right around 2980-3000fps with no pressure signs whatsoever. I’m guessing I’ll need 150-200 FPS to get to the next node, but maybe one of you fine gents has been on this path and would share some info.

thanks for the reply, ya i've been using rl26 actually with great results. I had the 90's going 3050ish and great consistency throughout the time I shot them. I'd say I got right around 2000 rounds down it right now. I tried it in a chassis I had, with standard AICS mags and it was horrible for feeding, due to the tapered case is my guess.

Follow up:
Loaded up another round of .3gr incremental charged rounds and shot them today. Last round of loads averaged 3133, 22 ES, and 8.4sd. Still no pressure signs, so I guess I’ll keep working up. Had two 5shot groups under 1/2moa at 300yds with the ol’ girl too. Too much fun!

Hi Malvi could you share the above R26 Load with 88 ELD? Running 7t 28” custom Hardy and wanting to build dev load. I’ll share results back. Cheers

As far as heavies go for the 22-250, I’ve only tried 90gr Berger, 95smk, and the 88eldm. Right now I’m using 38gr rl26 and a br4’s primer with 88eldm 0.050” off the lands

The bergers and hornadys were both 3050-3100 with no troubles. I could not get the smk's above 2900ish as I recall. The vlds and eldms were both consistent on the velocities, but I don't have the exact SD's, I do know it wasn't anything above 20.
