Gunsmithing 22-250 in AI mag

Has anyone found a way to get a 22-250 to reliably feed out of an AI mag with 10 rounds? Ive tried adjusting the feed lips, but it will only work with 7-8 rounds. Ive also thought of making a new shorter follower and placing a spacer in the rear of the mag. Any had experience with this?

I was basically shooting 6mm-250 cartridges (fireforming 22-250 into 6xc) from AIAW magazines without trouble. They fit kinda "wiggly", but never had any failures over the course of ~500 rounds.
