22-250 load help needed!

I currently run 55g vmax with 34.3g of Varget, 3450fps.
All I can find is 40g vmax, and looking for a charge weight that will yield approximately the same speed, with doing a ton of load development since ammo is like gold right now.
Any help would be appreciated!

Someone with Quickload could probably give you a good estimate of what charge weight you need.

I've been working with the 55 gr Sierra Blitzking and Varget in my 22-250. Getting about 3600 fps with 36.1 gr Varget.

The Hornady manual bottoms out at 33.3gr of Varget at 3600fps.
Probably not a good idea to go below that.

Why hold the performance back. The 40 gr will have more drop at 3600 as the 55gr. at 3450.

The only time I messed with 40g in my 22-250 I used 3031, and I was shooting for 4200fps.
