22-250 primer issue

[AIAW6.5]

I'm having a problem seating CCI BR2 primers in Lapua brass.The primer isn't flush after seating. Is it the brass?

You need a primer pocket uniformer. BB

Measured depth of pocket after posting question. I found some cases have a ridge around the inside base,hard to see. Your suggestion BuzzBoss915 should solve the problem.Thanks,DLC

What are you priming with, hand, press??

Milo, Both it doesn't matter. The brass was new and I,m going to try cleaning the pocket. There is a lip in the bottom of the pocket on some of the brass.
