Okay, I've posted before about my son's .22 cricket. But recently, I put a 3x9 on it and then that required a cheek rest. I grabbed a spare part I had around, a couple screws, and we went to the range.
Today, 2 hot girls attractive women were at the range. The instant they saw my 8-year old's rifle they converged on him (not me) and drooled over it (and him).
Here he is posing for the hot girl attractive woman, not actually firing a shot. He was bored by the attention by this time. When he's about 16 I'll unmercifully remind him of this...

You had to add a check-rest, but would you have had to if you'd used lower rings? That thing is riding high over the barrel, haha. I think we could park a VW bug between the barrel and the objective.

Great experience, though. Funny how little ones will do that!

Re: .22 chick magnet

The photo op wasn't there, they were both sporting larger pistols on their belts than their boyfriends.

Looking at the pictures, I think I really need lower rings.

Nice lil shooter dad. That was a good idea for the cheek rest. I bought my son a Hot shot for xmas, and now he wants a scope. I rather him learn and become better with open sights for a little while longer.

HAHAHAH good story. My lil guy is 9 and I know he takes an interest in girls... his voice suddenly gets all deep around a pretty one and starts talking about his 4wheeler... Then god forbid, I mention or point out girl to him....

God, I hope not...

It doesn't shoot too bad, either. This is the last 5-shot group of the day, after he got bored. I had to hold the stock about 3 inches off my shoulder, fortunately I was able to handle the recoil

Please note, this IS a 5-shot group. The 5th shot is touching the 10 ring at 3 o'clock. You just can't see it because it is on the target next to this one. Lucky for me my brother was shooting on the next lane...

Looks like one from XLR.

I thought that until I looked closer at the XLR. Maybe its a DIP?
Guess its not a DIP either.
