Gunsmithing .220 Swift to .308?

Same bolt face? Have a friend with an older Remmy VS he asked about turning into a .308.

Yes, same bolt face diameter.

Same boltface diameter, but it will probably take a little "massaging" of the feed rails. The .220 Swift has quite a bit more taper than the .308. IIRC that 'older' Remmy should be a short action if original.
