.223 A-Max 80....jump or not?

Re: .223 A-Max 80....jump or not?

I'm going to guess you're shooting these for match or match practice, so single loading in the mag is what you're doing anyway.

Mr. H is right on keeping them as long as possible if you're throated for it. I've found that the Amax seem to like a bit of a jump, between 5-20 thou as opposed to the Vmax liking about 5 thou of jam in my rifles.

This is across several calibers, not just 223

Mr. H does not realize that one cannot load the 80gr A-Max to fit in the magazine; the bullet is even longer than the 75gr A-Max.

When I shot A-maxes, I kept them just off the lands.
