Okay- I just fire formed my first rounds of brass with new .223 AI. I measured a fired case with shoulder comparator. Wanted to size down .002 on the shoulder. I sized them case and no shoulder bump at all. It seems that the brass only sized on the body which bumped the shoulders up .002. Pretty much like a small base body die.

Question
Has anyone had issues with a Redding .223 40 type S bushing sizing die not being able to fully size the case?
Thanks

Try to chamber your sized brass.
I did get mine bumped back 0.002" after the thirdd firing and trimming. Have not needed to trim now after 7 firings.

after the first firing I could chamber the brass with out sizing but no neck tension. I don’t know it seems weird to me. I run a BRA so I’m not new to forming.
I did re size and got enough on the neck to provide some tension to hold the bullet but it still is hard to close the bolt.
