Actually it is up to 2.55 as posted by Scott @ AINA:

Loaded Round OAL: This magazine will accept 223 rounds loaded to an OAL of 2.55 inch. You can load your favorite long 80+ grain VLD bullets. This is first 223/5.56 DBM designed specifically to accommodate the VLD bullets. Yes, it also feeds factory rounds just fine too.

Let me know if you need some we have pallets of them on a truck.

I'm thinking of switching to the AICS for my .223 and wanted to see if it would take the longer bullets. Do you have any AICS in stock? I checked your website but it seems to be down right now.

that is pretty impressive: allows some awesome ammo to be mag-fed. I just might have to get a 223 bolt face for my tubegun.
