I'm curious, what length does everyone trim their 223 brass to?

Also, as a side note if you're trimming brass any other way except with a giraud trimmer hooked to bench grinder/buffer you're doing it wrong Ha Ha! Man that thing churns it out.

I trim mine to 1.775” as my chamber is 1.795” long.

Do you remember who makes the tool to check that? I need to do that.

I trim my "precision" stuff to 1.750

My bulk stuff gets trimmed to 1.74" for use in the RCBS X-die

Sinclair makes these plugs that you stick in the neck. But you can make your own using a cut off neck and a bullet. Or you can let the neck grow until the bolt doesn’t close anymore.

I trim to 1.750 inch after resizing in two steps. I size the neck down to .250 inch first, then full size the case with the neck going to .244 inch. I'm using bushing Redding dies. For trimming I'm using the Giraud tri-way cutter fixed to a drill chuck mounted on an upside down salvaged pedestal sump pump motor. The motor is held by a mostly aluminum channel stand I made for it. Without any rushing, I'd guess I trim a hundred brass in 30 minutes. For back-up and other cartridge cases I have the Wilson hand trimmers and shell holders.
