Gunsmithing 223ai in an AR possible?

Putting together a 18"spr and wondered if it is workable. Would the increased pressure be an issue? Plan on using an adjustable gas block . Would the sharp shoulder get tore up on feedramp? Lastly, would straight body have issues feeding out of mag? Never heard of one done, maybe there is a reason.

They work just fine. The rifle doesn't even know there is a 40' shoulder. I can get about 27-28 rounds in a 30 and they feed just fine.

That surprises me, I would think you would have to do some playing to get it to feed

I was under the impression that the rib in the mag interfeared with the shoulder on the ai.

HOser is right. They function fine. Fire form loads are just as accuracy as the AI rounds in the ones I've done. Prairie dogs love the extra velocity.
