Suppressors 224 Valk gas gun can

I have an ultra 7 in jail, should be out on good behavior very soon. That can was intended to be the "only" can. You all know how that goes. Now I have a Valk gas gun, and friends that like to shoot it. Moving one can seems silly. I'm on the list for a Dominus. Any opinions about what is the "right" can for it? It's a side charger with adjustable gas block if it matters. 22" barrel. Accuracy is obviously important or I would have built another .223. I shoot it out to 1000 regularly.

i use my ultra 7 6.5 can on the .224. works great with the area 419 adapers if i need to swap. with a can on a gas gun it really gets dirty inside.

Just set up your adjustable gas block right and it'll run fine.

To be clear, I'm really not worried about it running right. I want to buy a second can to leave on it, and am looking for some help regarding which one. For precision rifle it was easy. For a gas gun, it at least seems less obvious.

I've been running an 6.5 Ultra 5 on my .224V gas gun and it's perfect

+1 to this, the 6.5 Ultra 5 on a gas gun rocks.

The Dominis should be ideal and uses the same mount as what you’ve got now. The decrease in back pressure should be useful.

This is something I hadn't considered. Given the larger volume, it makes sense.

On my gas guns, I run either an Ultra 7, Dominus, or 5. The Dominus is "go to war" durable but about the weight of an Ultra 9 in the SR version. It also has less backpressure than the Ultras.

The Dominus seems like it would be the bees knees for that purpose, saw/heard one at the range the other day and it was quite nice. If you wanted something cheaper that you could just torque on to that particular rifle and leave, YHM Turbo T2 with the DT mount might be a good option.

Thank you all for the input. I think I'll wait it out a little while, but it's good to know that if I get impatient, I won't be disappointed with an ultra 5 or 7.
