So I haven't had a chance to load up the 88 grainers in my 224V so plan to use the el cheapo 75 grain AE stuff as it groups decently and is 2750 fps (20 fps ES) out of the 18" barrel. Just curious if anyone has a best guess to get me started BC wise that I can fine tune after that. I see federal says .400 G1 which likely should work to get me started but if anyone has found its much different than that, that would be great to know.

Thanks for the help

Using data from my labradar and jbm’s calculator I got .302 G1 and .151 G7.

I haven’t tested those numbers long range, but using the same method with bullets Litz has published data for, my numbers are very close to his.

I get an average of 2951 from my 22” at the muzzle and 2733 at 75 yards with the labradar.
I was shocked at how much of a difference there was between federal’s number and mine.
But when I do the same calculation with the 6.5mm hornady 140 gr bthp I get G7 of .287. I believe Litz publishes .285. So I’m confident my data is close.
