All- I have an Obsidian 45 in jail, and was wondering since it is 100% serviceable if there's a real need to also get a 22lr specific can? My thought is to get a 1/2x28 direct thread adapter, and take the extension off and run it on my 22's. What's your thoughts? Should be super quiet!

.22 through my Obsidian 45 works better than I thought it would, but it's definitely not as quiet as my much smaller, lighter rimfire can. Definitely buy a .22 can, they aren't very expensive and pretty much offer the best bang for the buck in the silencer world.

It works pretty well, just be prepared to pull it apart and get the lead out pretty often. I can go 5k+ rounds on my pistol cans, but my LR cans I try not to go over 1k rounds or its just a mess
