If anyone needs a 1 MOA trainer, I have a custom AICS/Savage Mk II for sale in the rimfire classifieds, reasonably priced. Here is a test target [IMG2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"http:\/\/i.imgur.com\/N9bU45Yl.jpg"}[/IMG2]

Th target has "50 meter" written on it... that's around 1 MOA,,, unless you shot it at 100 meters. Please clarify.

My MKII in the original laminate stock shoots .6" five shot groups at 50 yards with 3 different types of ammo (CCI std, Norma TAC, SK std +)

Expletive deleted...you're right...went back and fixed it. I'm just used to shooting at 100yds, I wasn't thinking when I moved down to my 50m range. The target was shot at 50m...1moa...still good enough to clean with all x's. This gun shoots .5 inch 10 shot groups, at 50 meters, with the two different types of ammo. The rifle is pillar bedded to the aluminum chassis...so it's pretty much like shooting the gun in a machine rest, accuracy wise.

Understandable, I did the same thing with mine when I first got good groups out of it, boasting to my friends about my .6 MOA .22. It dawned on me later that I was only shooting at 50 yards so no more bragging. I like shooting it, good training to overcome the flinch, and at 10 cents/round it's still the cheapest gun to shoot that I own. To shoot tight groups with it requires the same skills (to a lesser extent) needed for centerfire rifles.

Mine falls on its face at 100 yards, mostly vertical spread because of MV variation, I suspect.

After I installed a scope with adjustable parallax I shot some of the SK ammo and printed at least one .5" group but I need to shoot a bunch more before I declare it 1 MOA. It will be fun trying. I just installed an S&B PMII on it (10m close focus) where it will stay until I have my next build done. Overkill...

I just checked out your classified. I especially like the bolt handle, now I'll have to modify mine. After shooting my AIAX a bit, I really like the spherical bolt knob enough that I tried to make one for my .223AI rifle. It's not a perfect sphere (I'd have to grind form tools to make it better) but it gets the job done.
