230gr Hybrid Target

hmm, so sounds like G1 is fine. I've used G1 only for my .50 out to 2100 yards and it (elevation) has been dead on but not with bullets over a G1 BC of 1.00 which is where I've heard you need to really make the switch to using G7.

I'm up at my Cabin for a few days and decided to break out the .300 I built for the 230's. I loaded up 75.8 Retumbo, 230 OTM bergers, annealed some 2 shot Norma brass , bumped the shoulder 3/1000's and used a lee collet die. (Not in that order ) but it was running 2950 to 2960. Good out to 1940 yards given the right conditions. One thing that is so blatantly obvious is that the target hybrids are so much more difficult to find that sweet spot. The OTM s I'm jumping 50/1000's. LOVE IT!
