I am wanting to use H 1000 for a .243 load I plan to use the rifle for coyote hunting / targets.
Anyone using H 1000 in .243? looking at a barrel length of 23" + holland muzzel break. will probably try heavier bullets also but the twist rate is 1/9.125

Thanks for any help

I'm using H-1000 with 115 Dtacs. I found it to be superior over H-4350 in my gun. I really like it because so far last summers when I was working up loads it didn't seem like I could fit enough powder in the case to be over pressured. It's nice not having to worry about that on a hot summer day (105 deg).

I run 45.5 grains of H1000 with 105 Amax's and it works very well. Just as Rebel said, it fills just about the entire case with no pressure issues. Hell I can almost just fill the case to the top and stuff a bullet in there

Thanks for the replies, what twist rate are your rifles
mine is 1/9.125" SPS varmint going to cut barrel to 23 and add Holland QD break. I think it will work if not will add oversized recoil lug and re chamber barrel and true up action.

I want it to work because my .338 lapua loves H 1000 I am hoping my .300 Wby will like it also.

Mine is a 1-8, 27" Brux. You may have some trouble if you step up to the 105+ grain bullets but I think you should be ok with the 95s. I hear you on the H1000 working great in other calibers. I use it for .300WM as well. So far between 5 guns I only use two powders so that is nice.
