How does the Dtac sit in a 243 Win case and standard AICS mag? If having one built, would a guy benefit from having the front plate removed from the mag and being able to seat them a hair longer?

Would it be best to have the 243 made so that you could reach the lands by fitting the Dtac in a standard mag. But have the feedramp notched and the plate removed anyway so that as the throat goes away you could have a little room to chase it?

Thanks,
Jason

Definately get the feed ramp notched no matter what you decide on the mag. Having it notched out allows the rounds to feed when out at mag length. Had it done with my GAP7000.

I run the standard mags with the plates as I use the same mags with all my rifles. I haven't found a need for the plate to be removed in my .243 with the DTACs but if it does it's an easy fix.

I notched mine and drilled the plates out of my mags b/c at mag length, I was almost .060" off the lands. If your getting the chamber cut, and its cut to where you can reach the lands at mag length, rock out.

+1 I run standard mags with no mods. Feed ramp was notched by GAP.
