what does your .243 remington like to shoot?i'm asking for standard twist hunting rifles in either slim or heavy, varmit style barrel profiles. i am curious about the general consenus because i have a C prefix 700 BDL varmit that really doesnt like 100 grain fodder. 95 seem to shoot just fine but , i would really like to have to buy only one style bullet for my .243 and 6mm.

Re: .243 remington

Mine hates all 75 gr, 85 gr. likes 100 only. trying to get it to shoot 105 and 107's Shoots 1/3 MOA with 29.5 gr of 4064. I know this is probably on the slow side but I cant argue with the accuracy

Re: .243 remington

My 700 SPS ADL with a 9 1/8" twist factory barrel loves 85 Gr. Sierra Gamekings. I load them in lapua brass with fed gold medal match primers and 36 grains of IMR 4064 and they consistently shoot 1/4-1/2 moa.

However, after seeing the difference in expansion on whitetails, I'm now switching to 100 Gr. SGKs as they shoot just as well using the same load and have more knockdown power than the 85s.

Re: .243 remington

100 gr SGKs out of a factory Remington 700 VLS cut down to 22" group at around .7 moa The only thing done is cut and crowned barrel, pillar bedded action and rechanneled the stock for a true free float. Doesn't kick at all and reaches out there for yotes all day, plus my daughter and I trade off on shots. Wonderful round
