Just completed similar post on LRH. I'm looking to chamber a new barrel in PTG's 243 Tactical Match. This rifle will be a truck gun and not a LR rig. I will probably have a local BR smith do the work for me. Not sure if I should buy the reamer and then resell, or simply rent it. New cost is $138 plus shipping. Renting is $36 plus shipping both ways. What does a used reamer sell for? Where is the best place to advertise a used reamer for sale? Any comments appreciated as I am in uncharted territory.

I did something simular. Bought a 6.5 Lapua reamer, used it once but didn't like the throat length so sold it. Think I got $110 for it. I paid the same new price as you. I would go this route over renting one because you have no control over the rental's condition. Sold it here on the Hide. 243 is a pretty common cal, I would think most smiths would have that available.
