Has anyone used the hornady hydraulic forming die to form 243 AI ? How does it work?

Anyone? I have read that it gets it about 95% formed then requires a final fire form to get it the rest of the way. Could you start load development with that final fire form step? What do yall think?

Just shoot a 243 it will fireform its self. The 243 is about as accurate as the 243 AI.

seems like a wasted step to me, if you have to fireform to complete the process, why even bother with this.
I do the barrel break in, get some ideas on powder, etc on my fireforming.

load long and shoot. loading into the lands will help estabolish a crisper shoulder so you dont have to fireform 2 x to blow them all the way out in my experience.

You can also do the cream of wheat method using pistol powder and no bullet.
