ok I was thinking of doing another long range ar build and was looking at barrels and come across a ar stoner barrel sold by midway. The reviews (40+) say basically that it's close or 1/2 Moa shooter. A barrel for 119 bucks. Does anyone have experience with this barrel or other ar stoner barrels? I started a thread about a 22nolser and a guy got one from midway in a ar stoner 22 nosler and posted basically a one hole 5 shot group. Lol.

Yep.

i have the "DMR" barrel. Shoots very well. My Criterion shoots a tad better but that tad bit would only matter in BR comps(it really is that close). I figured if it didn't shoot I'd chop it down and just run it for shits and giggles.

Its not not going to be a popular barrel choice because it's not boutique at all but I took a chance because of the price and very glad I did. The reviews are hilarious because they complain the flutes are sharp and might cut their dick skinners, LOL.

Haha. That's great. If there's any roughness on the inside I could polish it out with some jb bore paste. I think for the heck of it I'm gonna get one for a varmit build. No comps just for play!

A buddy built an upper with one and tried my handload (75HDY HPBT-Match/24.4gr Varget, Win brass, BR-4) for the first rounds down the bore and is very happy so far.

I have bought 2 of these AR Stoner barrels and I'm happy with both. You have to really look them over when you get them. Both that I received were finished perfectly in the chamber and bore. I did clean the chambers up on both with bore paste and shot a few Tubbs conditioning projos through them both.

Mine are both 223 SDMR profile 20". But for the $$ they are good barrels. I've noticed the stainless is just a tad softer than my higher end barrels. Give one a try and see how it does, let us know...
