There are too many variables to list on what affects barrel life. A aftermarket barrel vs. a factory barrel, cleaning regiment, velocity, time between rounds fired, load pressure (just to name a few) all contribute to a barrels demise.
A 25-06 should go 2-5K rounds depending on how it is treated, the higher velocities and excessive heat contribute to faster throat erosion, which will degrade accuracy. As far as how flat it shoots, depends on the load and bullet, but inherently the 25-06 has a fairly flat trajectory.

If you are going to shoot max loads and expect sub moa performance...you can count on 1000 rounds or less. I've tried that route. 25-06 bbl life was even less than my 6.5-284 wjich has been around 900-1200 rounds. You are better off with a 250 Savage Ackley if you want a 25.
