Did I ever think I would be the one after a generation filled with divorces that would actually make the 25th Anniversary? Not for a minute.

Brother Dan: "How do you do it? I thought you woulda been long gone by now!" - 2002
a good Friend: "You have come far and been through a lot with one really great woman at your side, cherish it" - 2009
another great friend: "What you two have is beautiful, you have made it what it is with lots of hard work, adn a whole lot of love" - 2010
It has been one long road filled with so many ups and downs I cannot remember them all. We have seen tables filled with raman, hillshire farms sausage, and not much else. We have seen a table filled with not much more than a few burgers and kool aid. We have had tables fille with steaks, potatoes, the best wines and beers that were around.
We have seen three boys grow to become a fine young man, and two A students with one in the new STEM Academy because he was the top of his school's top 4% students. We have been through a Marine Corps deployment, years of National Guard service, a career in the Army with two deployments, and now making a way in two new careers with kids doing nothing but A work.
Life as I look back, has been pretty damn good from where I sit.
Tonight will be a nice Japanese steak house for dinner, a little gluwine when we get home, and overall, a quite evening celebrating our 25 years together, and looking at the prospect of many more to come with nothing but good things ahead.
Without her, I would be nothing but an undisciplined rogue and more than likely dead drunk in the streets. She has most surely been the light in my life.
Who would have thought this would get that far so long ago on December 10th 1985?
