256 Winchester Magnum

I have a 12 inch contender barrel in 256 Win Mag and some jacket and lead bullets that I will be using for reloading. I do have some reloading data but I was wondering if anyone has ever used Hodgdon's Titegroup for some light loads just for fun.

Good luck. I have not even SEEN a 256 cartridge in (oh) at least 35 years. But, if you own one, I think you are on the right track reloading because who knows when the supply of ammunition will dry up completely? BB

edit: if I remember correctly, it's a rimmed case, perhaps a 357Magnum necked down? Something like that?

Yes the 256 Win Mag is based on the .357 Mag case.
When I got the barrel I also got the dies and some reloading components with a few loaded rounds, I did some reloading myself with the data that I have for this cartridge but I am hoping that someone will have tried Titegroup powder in this cartridge and is able to share what works in this cartridge.
