Looking for a place to start with loading .257 in Norma brass or the Weatherby brass.

Excellent hunting cartridge. Try the 110 Nosler Accubond with 71 to 73 gr Reloder 25 in Weatherby brass with a 215 primer. That is good for about 3500 + fps from a 26" Rock 5R. Hits like a lightning bolt.
As with any one elses loads start low and work up. Your velocity may vary depending on barrel length.

IMR 7828 has given me better accuracy than other powders I've tried with virtually all bullets I've used.
And, as another poster mentioned. Short COALs have worked better for me too. As shot as 3.130'. Counter-intuitive to be sure...
