I've decided to go with a 26" barrel on my 6.5 build and I'm thinking about running a suppressor on it. Anyone running a can on a barrel that long? Is it too long? I've got a Cyclone waiting for the stamp. The rest of my cans are all QD.

I shot 2 PRS matches last year...one with suppressor and one without. I didn't feel hampered by the additional barrel length on any of the barricade / positional shooting stages. I also finished in the bottom 10% of both matches, so take my advice for what it's worth :)

I use a Cyclone on a 26" TRG. It is a joy to shoot. Not so much a joy to carry around. If bench/prone is your game, this will work just fine. If I was carrying the TRG around in the woods a lot, I'd have it chopped to 18".

If you are competing with it then you want the barrel length. Barrel length = bullet velocity, higher bullet velocity = more fudge factor on wind calls. I just shot one of the harder matches out there with a 26" barrel and a can, no issues with length. I am able to attach a sling to a spot near the rear of the bolt (krg w3c gen 4) so it doesn't hit the dirt, if you are a shorter guy this may be a problem.

If you are just shooting paper or rarely shoot past 500yds then it's irrelevant.
